Goals... Goals... Goals…

What is a goal? A goal is when a person is ambitious about something and has the desire to see the results in life. It’s the direction someone is headed towards to feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction within themselves.

I think more often than not, the meaning behind goals has a lot of misunderstanding and confusion. Goal setting should come naturally to your everyday style based on the benefits you receive when you take the time to focus on each set goal.

Once you have goals set, you will discover an endless amount of positive results. You will have a sense of clarity of where you are and where you need to be. The ability to stay focused and find the confidence in yourself to stay on task rises. This is because you have placed goals for yourself and you are able to learn and grow from something so simple.

Determining what specific goals you want in life can be the most difficult thing. This is because you’re trying to figure out the path you’re going to take. However, making excuses for why you haven’t set the goals or met them, ultimately hurts you in the end. You must remember that it’s never too late to get started. You are the only person that can determine the start and finish line. Because you have control over the growth you make within your goals, starting over shouldn’t be forgotten. It’s okay if you have to start over or re-evaluate where you’re at to get to where you want to be. Don’t be too hard on yourself.

During a morning Zoom conference, Tina Harbert with Eagles Points Marketing, Inc. expressed the importance to everyone about learning to:

"flip the switch to be the queen bee instead of the worker bee”.

By becoming the queen (or king) bee, you have found the best way to be dependable for yourself and others. You’re no longer going through the motions but you are finding the little quirks that help keep the fire lit under your butt. You’ve understood how to take back control of your life and realized that nothing is just going to land in your lap. And, the passion behind your goals is showcased for everyone to see.

As the queen bee, you’ve worked on the steps it takes to be organized and has executed your time management skills. This looks as simple as jotting everything down in your planner and using all of your resources such as coaches and/or mentors to help you see the bigger picture and set a good foundation to work with. Because you have spent time getting organized, you may not feel as overwhelmed and you’ve taken control of how you manage your day-to-day life.

Miriam Carlinbryan, Senior Operations Manager at Next Generation Marketing, Inc. is constantly reminding everyone to

"keep it simple. Don’t over complicate things".

When you’ve taken the time to manage your planner, time, and life, you will find out what matters most and make time for it. This allows you to be in the moment and gives you a sense of structure when you are working through your next race to the finish line. It’s just that simple.

So, here is my advice to you.

If you feel like you are winning at the game of life, you have a stronger drive to want more of it.

And always remember … You either win or you fail … learn.
